One of the most commonly grown varieties of aubergine in the world. Medium size fruits of elongated shape, deep violet colour and good flavour. Feed as you would tomatoes.
Aubergines can be easily produced in Britain, either raised in a glasshouse or plastic tunnel, in grow bags, in a sheltered sunny spot in a garden or even on a patio in a tub if sheltered from cool winds.

How to grow Aubergines Sow Jan-Apr under glass, 15 - 20 °C in moist seed compost, cover with a layer of compost keep temp. Between 20-25C. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep moist Transplant when large enough to 7.5 cm pots, later pot on into 20 cm containers. Space 45 cm from each other. Needs a warm, sunny, humid conditions and are best grown in a greenhouse or poly tunnel. Harvest - July onwards
