Green leaved sage - Hardy perennial, height - 60cm (2ft)
The large grey -green leaves of this shrubby plant are widely used for stuffing and seasoning, and are commonly used to flavour sausages. The Large flower spikes produced on established plants are an additional attractive feature.
Harvest - young shoots can be picked as required at any time of the year. Sage is easy to dry - cut in late June and tie into small bundles before hanging upside down in an airy place until dry.
